Hi, my name is Amanda Reaves and I am a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Realty in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I have a very exciting career in one of the best places to live, I think, in Florida, if not the whole U.S. – Florida’s Emerald Coast or Northwest Florida. Through these posts, I hope to bring you information to use about the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Florida area in your selling and buying decisions.

My family (husband and 4 boys) and I moved here in 2007 when my husband John took a position at a local school in Niceville, FL. We knew then that we were blessed to finally get to live in our favorite vacation spot. My background and skills landed me a job in the marketing department of a local real estate company in Shalimar. For the next decade, I worked in real estate assisting agents and management in any way I could. I honed my real estate marketing skills and put all of my experience and educational training to work to build up the companies I worked for and the real estate professionals I worked with. A few years ago I realized I have more to give the broader community and maybe needed a little to reward myself for. I decided to change my path, taking the courses necessary for licensing, taking the dreaded real estate exam, and changing my career goals.

Update June 2022:  This post was originally posted in January 2020.  I am excited to say that Real Estate is still my dream job.  I was Rookie of the Year for our office in 2020 and became an International Diamond awarded agent for 2021.
